It’s our first birthday today! We’ve had the most memorable year and hope the next one will be just as epic as our first.
We would like to say thank you to all our members and all the amazing adult staffs (uniformed and civilian) who have supported us. You make us what we are today, without you there wouldn’t be a rafa YOUTH!
We love giving away prizes and this year we have run more than 30 free prize draws, with a total of over 130 winners. Visiting the Red Arrows, attending the Birmingham Tattoo and a day trip to RAF Fylingdales are just some of the prizes.

Chipmunk Simulator
Two lucky rafa YOUTH members aged 15 and under will have the opportunity to visit RAF Halton and receive one-to-one expert tuition on the Chipmunk Simulator. This will be followed by an exclusive personal guided tour of the Trenchard Musuem.
Tandem Skydive
If you are 16 or over we have an epic prize to get you up in the air! Two thrill seeking rafa YOUTH members are in with a shout to win a tandem skydive with UK Skydive. The winners will be able to free-fall at 120mph and take in the beautiful scenery once the canopy is deployed.
Meet and Greet Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Pilots
You could be a lucky one from the 10 exclusive places up for grabs that will be treated to a VIP day at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at their RAF Coningsby home. You will see some mighty aircraft in the hangar, view the exhibition galleries and meet some of the aircraft crew!
To celebrate our Birthday we have also launched a Staff Prize!
Do you have or know an adult staff member who deserves special recognition?
Well here’s your chance to nominate them to win a Go for Gliding course with the British Gliding Association. Simply tweet the staff member’s name and sqn/unit details using #rafaYOUTH and #staffprize or comment the details on the Staff Prize Facebook post.

the rafa YOUTH Cyprus Award 2015 will be launched on 15th August 2014. The Cyprus Award is a trip of a lifetime for 10 lucky rafa YOUTH members in Spring 2015! Lucky recipients (nominated by their Regional Commandant or Wing Commander CCF(RAF)) will enjoy a week long, all expenses paid trip to RAF Akrotiri and enjoy many activities including meeting the Red Arrows (subject to operational requirements).
