Hi there
Sorry if this question has been asked previously, but would like to get clarification.
As a member of the VRT, I’m looking at purchasing a tie but believe there is not an official RAFVR(T) tie.
Therefore, should I be looking at a RAFVR tie or standard RAF tie? I’m personally veering towards the RAFVR tie as it seems the closest to my VRT commission.
Can’t seem to find any official dress regs on ties, so if anyone can advise that would be superb.
Many Thanks.
Why would there be dress regs for civilian attire? The tie approrpiate is RAFVR.

Many thanks Plt_Off_Prune.
As there are some regs for CI’s attire, I wasn’t sure what the official stance is for VRT in smart civvy’s, but thanks for answering my question.
All the best.
I’m pretty sure there is a VR(T) Tie and I know there is a SNCO tie too.
I’ve seen a VR(T) tie but they are unusual and I think unofficial. The RAFVR tie is the one to wear (look at your commission if you don’t feel entitled!). I did have a boss who wore an RAF tie when I joined the CCF but he was ‘put right’ subsequently…
I tend to buy them at the shop at Cosford or Hendon and they might be prepared to post you one.

Thanks all for the advice.
That is the answer I was expecting but just wanted the confirmation.
All the best.
There is a nice dark blue tie with white falcons on it. Try it
