Our wing has been given High Wycombe as one of our camps this year, and I’m considering putting my name forward as staff (CI)can anyone share any information on what the camp is like, the activities that are completed etc. What with it being an Admin base I assume its mostly off camp activities, waiting to be heaviliy corrected…
hey, i did high wycombe in easter 2012 as a cdt FS. it was a great camp and i saw some brilliant things. visited raf benson and saw puma helicopters, visited the RTS at Halton which was really cool. Also went to Hendon museum, interesting day out and my favourite and the highlight for me was visiting RAF brize norton and seeing tristars and getting to stand in the back of a c-17. I loved it. You don’t do a lot on high Wycombe base, the accommodation for cadets was okay and the staff stayed in some of the RAF houses. I’d recommend it to anyone, it was a great experience.
