I recently completed both bronze and silver cyber, but I was told by one of my Sqn staff that I couldn’t receive the badge because I had to complete bronze and silver radio too, to receive the badge because both radio and cyber merged into one thing, even though bronze and silver cyber are already completed on my cadet portal profile. I hadn’t heard of any merge like this before and couldn’t find anything online about it, any help appreciated.
Your staff are mistaken - only one physical badge is worn nowadays, but they’re still two distinct syllabi*.
You just wear the highest level badge that you’re entitled to (so someone with bronze cyber and silver radio would wear a silver badge). You’re entitled to wear the silver badge.
*for now, changes are coming - see SharePoint.
Ah right, thank you. My Sqn adjutant told me that they got merged into one course and you had to compete radio and cyber but maybe he was confused with something else.
They are being merged eventually into one dedicated Cyberspace Communications package, but that package will still have separate radio and cyber pathways and even then you won’t need to complete both to get a badge

For now, nothing about the two syllabi has changed except for the fact that there’s only space on the brassard for a single badge and you wear the highest achivement.
If your staff still aren’t happy, your WCyO should be able to clarify.
