Hi guys.
Just done a full vhf/uhf course and have a few questions.
Firstly. As I’m qualified to transmit on aco freqs. Does this mean I could program my own amature radio with our freqs and use my radio. Obviously using a correct calling ie my squadron one with a mobile designator?
Also I read somewhere that doing the full course entitles me to a foundation level amature radio licence. Is this true?
Many thanks
false on the amateur radio licence - there simply is not enough covered.
true on being able to program a radio to ATC frequencies and use it - you may struggle with some civilian examples to reach the frequencies. classed as “military” not all “off the shelf” radios will tune to them.
Steve. Many thanks for the reply.
I have cross checked the freqs between acp 44 and my radio specification so I’m all good there.
I did think it was too short a course to cover all the content for a radio licence. That’ll be my next venture.
Thanks
Dan
