Public Arms Drill Applications

Can anyone help me find the form(s) for applying to Region for permission to perform drill displays and static war memorial duties?

I can’t answer your question, but there is interesting conversation regarding your issue on my thread ‘Arms Drill Instructors Course’

It’s a start?

Could you not send an email via CofC to find out the answer to your question?

I’ll get it off my WO, I was hoping to do fill it out on my day off so he could sign the cadets off as competent. He did the first ADIC last year, so he’s now one of the only two people in the wing who can sign the application for permission to do drill displays.

I thought that ANY arms drill display need regioanal commandant sign off through the CofC??

I certainly know that is how it works in my region!

The ADI is needed to sign off proficiency with the weapons. Then it goes to the Regional Commandant for approval to do it in public.

What is the form though?

Why does it need a form. What happened to the art of writing a letter?

That may be all it is. But it’s the ATC, there’s always a form!

The whole point of having a form is that it means that the unit applying knows exactly what information needs to be supplied, and the receiver gets it in a simple format that’s the same each time!

Can you imagine a camp where we simply asked all of the parents to “write about your child’s medical history on a piece of A4 paper”?

Sounds very much like it’s a local form, if it exists. If it doesn’t all the relevant stuff can be included on the PIPE application surely (including perhaps a signed note from the ADI)?
