You mean the real creme of the airwaves.
Duggee doesnt DJ for free you know!
Although Cbeebies does have a pop up message throughout the programmes, warning of a Major News story on BBC1
this might not be news to you, but I’ve just found out that every Royal Family has a different “bridge” - Phillip was Operation Forth Bridge. The Queen is London, Charles is Menai, and the Queen Mother was Tay
we’ve finally had something from our CEO, but nothing on our twitter yet (which has 120k followers), which I’m massively surprised at
so maybe RAFAC’s media & comms isn’t as bad as we think!
Correct
The females 90 year old nan needed a heart op and they wouldn’t do it cause she just wouldn’t wake up
My Gran had a stroke during a heart op at that age. Took three weeks to wake up and very quickly downhill from there
Shame I can’t retweet this from the sqn account currently.
I wonder how many cadets I have helped achieve their DofE Award in my time in the Corps, either directly or indirectly.
One of my biggest regrets is not doing DofE but it simply wasn’t accessible when I was. a Cadet unlike now
Almost the same for me. Foot and mouth wiped out any chance of me completing the expeditions needed. One big regret about my cadet time.
I have been enjoying the recollections on the radio and really do the the DofE Award is a fantastic legacy.
I did my Gold. Met Philip at the palace too. He had amazing attention to detail. He recognised one kid’s regimental tie. And knew I’d been to Nijmegen because I was proudly wearing the medal bar I wasn’t meant to wear!
Met HRH several times in the mob.
The last time was at Benson - I’d been “parachuted in” to push the brown stuff up the hill; the organisation of a Royal Parade, with presentation of their Colour to the RAuxAF, was running very much behind schedule.
Told to report to OC Benson, who then took me to see my boss, rather strange I thought. VIP Suite in the Officers’ Mess - “Mike, here is your boss for the next few months, Air Chief Marshal Sir John Barraclough KCB, CBE, DFC, AFC…!” Gulp.
They had asked for a wg cdr, staff college qualified, but got me, flt lt, reading & righting cse + bar!
Straight in at the deep end. That afternoon I was talking to Buck House & the Queen’s PPS.
All the brown stuff eventually got pushed out of the way, & the date of the Parade arrived. Together with the ACM / stn cdr, I was in the escorting group to the 2 Royals. As the day progressed, the ACM + stn cdr were very much leading the way with the Queen; I was following behind with Prince Philip. Well, after a bit of sounding out, we got on like a house on fire. He started with jokes about the RAF, I retaliated with jokes about the RN. His language was quite fruity at times, so much so that once he got a pointed frown from the Queen, but he acted just like a little 8 yr old boy who had been caught out. A very memorable day.
A truly remarkable man who gave up his career to support his beloved wife. RIP.
was it a particularly controversial tweet?! It’s been deleted
My friends in the civil service have been told no social media posts until further notice.
May be something along those lines
Some cretin made a comment below it, I think that’s what’s been deleted.
HIO Wing AT team have gone rogue and put it as their banner. Thankfully this means you can still see the commandants letter.
Tut…
Nice tribute
