always been that in wales
`tis the Welsh rules…
- Up to 15 people can take part in an organised indoors activity and up to 30 in an organised activity outdoors , providing all social distancing, hand hygiene and other covid safety measures are followed
Interesting
England had no such number limits and you could have as many bubbles of 15 cadets that you liked
Indeed.
I was just wondering about the number 30.
Is that based on the Gov.Wales press release or has it come down CoC from HQ RAFAC?
Latest guidance from HQ.
Expecting super high cases numbers over the next few days as we add in the Liverpool results
Fuel to extend lockdown!
IMO we shouldn’t be going back until we are all out of it and no restrictions at all.
The Scots and Welsh “govts” are and have been playing politics, which shows what a shambles they are. I think it’s about time Barnett money was removed from the devolved govts, then they won’t have free money and the ability to play games.
Enjoy going back to a squadron with very little cadets then, cause I can guarantee the longer you keep cadets out of squadron the lower the number of those that return will get. We’re looking at having restrictions till the end of 2021 maybe beyond if things don’t get better, going with your Idea that means cadets will have been out of squadron well over a year - alot of them will have moved on by then and not return…
Cadets in SNI are already frustrated that they’re not able to do F2F activities for the next month because of a lockdown down south that doesn’t affect them? Considering virus rates are falling in Scotland and Wales, it’s daft that F2F is suspended again. Try telling them that you want to keep them out of squadron even longer and see how many just pack it in. We need to learn to live with this virus, stopping everything till it’s gone isn’t doing that.
Wales and Scotland have already had the decision reversed haven’t they?
So they aren’t off for the next month because of “down south”.
And this:
A follow-on e mail message (just seen) from the Comdt says that:
‘By way of clarification, where national restrictions permit attendance at remembrance events, may I ask that you refer back to our previous position of 2 cadets, one CFAV - no drill, banner, music etc. I acknowledge that aspect of my note escaped amendment.’
For the avoidance of doubt, this means that participation in Remembrance activity is permitted iaw composite grouping…
Thank you for your continued support. Please cascade this news.
wait? what?
Saw that come through from wing last night. Hockey cokey Remembrance Day.
Neither the change for Wales/Scotland ( not relevant for me in England) or the the update for rememberance have reached me as a sqn commander
Have a chat with your OC Wing then.
Remembrance Parades - cadet forces may attend (in England) as spectators, either alone or with members of their household, which for RAFAC that means cadet and volunteer participation in organised Remembrance events across the UK is not permitted.
To my simple mind this means that cadets and staff can attend parades in uniform either by themselves or with their families to watch services at local war memorials etc - correct ?
If so why have comms been passed though the COC saying attendance at parades is not permitted?
It also, helpfully, clarifies on a Saturday afternoon… that 1 CFAV. And 2 cadets CAN now go to an organised event…
IF the event is authorised through SMS.
After the last few days allowing us to believe it was all of.
So have every wing hq been feverishly calling squadron commanders to let them know this Saturday and approving their events?
Thought not.
Talk about a shambles!
