Pay "cutoff" in 2022

Can anyone help with some information. I have recently been informed there was a cutoff to pay / allowance anomalies that came with the change in pay system, which I assume happened in 2022 sometime. I was NEP at the time, so was wondering how this was communicated to everyone, as I have nothing in my personal email account.

Sadly I have returned from NEP to find that every claim I put in before 2022 has been “lost” and I cannot reclaim and I can’t even submit a claim for the time just before I went NEP either.

First port of call would be to discuss with your WExO and see what they can do. They will be able liaise with HQ Accounts and confirm any limits to claims.

I think it was done as an announcement on SharePoint. Maybe worth a trawl of the expired ones from 2022…??

@TheSleeplessOne what you are being told is technically correct. However if you were NEP, and had claimed for these expenses prior to that, and those got lost, I think this needs to be looked at by someone in accounts to see what they can do!

Fundamentally, we moved over to a new system (JPA) in April 2022. This meant that HQAC asked everyone to get all 2021 claims (or earlier) in before the 1st of Feb 2022. See this email:

Thanks for answers. Without going into too much detail I have claims submitted pre that deadline that are lost and one since that has also been lost. It is Wing HQ that have told me that I’m out of claim time on them, despite being the likely cause of those losses.

Do you have a record of them going to WHQ? Like a tracking receipt of something? If so I’d write them an email showing the proof they had them, and failed to send them onto HQ. Even without the proof, send an email. If they refuse, escalate to HQ accounts and see what they say.

It’s not your fault they lost them at the end of the day!

If anyone can PM me a contact at HQAC that I could send a formal complaint to, that would be appreciated.

We had a member of staff who presumed they were NEP, but in fact were just absent. They had not completed the prerequisite paperwork, and contact was sparse to say the least.
The only advice i can offer is to check your NEP dates (you would have had NEP confirmation in writing), and go via your WExO.

Thanks all. Even better than ACP 8, one of the “recent changes” documents is the RAFAC Contacts Chart which lists everyone including names and emails. Perfect.

I never received anything in writing about going NEP, despite filling in all the paperwork, and all evidence actually now points to that not being processed either by my Wing as I appear to have remained as staff on the books at my old squadron all the time. Still there too, despite being moved to another over 3 months ago. Just more failures to add to the pile.
