Pay and fuels costs

But If I’m correct Incubus, you’re at the top of your tree, so perhaps they added in some uniform allowance or something?
I am indeed.

This may have been an early revision of the slip I received and it sertainly doesn’t include details of days remaining.

It claims to be “Travel”, place of duty “RAF Leuchars / ATC Swimming” from 01 Jun 14 to 12 Jun 14.
This is utter nonsense :)
12 days of swimming?? or 12 days of travelling to get to the swimming?

You can fill in one 1771 claim form to span multiple events and normally on the advice slip will list the date range of any events included. I normally do one form a month rather than one for each event I attend.

snap…i currently have 3 weekends worth of travel to claim…but i recall seeing “various” or simply “travel” as the description

CFAVs are on JPA - all the Army ones. The problem is, they can’t let you log into JPA except via an MOD secure system e.g. DII, so what happens at the moment is that Army CFAV pay is entered on Westminster, and once a month some poor sod at Brigade HQ has to download the pay details from Westminster and upload them to JPA. This causes no end of aggro (not least when people ring her up and bellyache when actually their pay wasn’t entered correctly on Wesminster).

I don’t know if the (relatively) recent move of Westminster behind the Defence Gateway will mean CFAVs having direct access to JPA. If so, another benefit of Westminster (and nail in the coffin of Bader…)

Having Westminster in the DII gateway means nothing. JPA can only be accessed via a DII terminal, which means the problems will continue. Not so much for ACO staff though as a new online processing system is being built.

Who needs JPA and DII when you can do your own.

Will Bader have a system to allow us to order and pay for uniform?

Baby Steps!

Doubtful, as that is a responsibility of various different stations. Not everyone has to pay don’t forget! I’d like to think that one station could assume responsibility for it, and a third party system be put in place which:

 1. Takes the order via a web-portal
 2. Collects the money from card payment
 3. Sends the money to the HMG account
 4. Sends a message to the clothing stores that a)requests the item, b: tells them where to post it via courier (standard charge based on item weight), c) who the orderer is and d) certifies that payment has been x-ferred to the HMG account
 5. Station then sends it on.

…& pigs might fly!
