To be fair my Wing Sports Officer and WATTO both agree it should be a sport but their hands are tied.
What seems more ridiculous to me is the fact I have to get permission from the Army to do it via a TOPL yet if we were just doing sport in the same park we could just crack on with WHQ approval.
Surely the Army don’t care about what you are doing in a local park?
The army don’t actually care about TOPL at all as long as what your doing is in civvies and doesn’t involve weapons! It’s just another pointless hoop to jump through.
I once had a phone call from our local Brigade requesting that we stop generating pointless TOPL forms!!! Sadly, they never committed this to an email.
