Operational Service Medals

I’m big on medals, can name most but I do have some questions relating to the order of operational service medals. I have read some different websites and attempted to refer to various AP/ACP’s and find two answers -

  1. They are worn in the order of which they were awarded

  2. They are worn in a specific order

Can anyone offer their knowledge/expertise?
