Do you not think the ACO has missed a trick here?

Comdt AC mentioned its on her list of things to do. She was talking to the RAFBF about whether ACO Items could be sold via their online shop
I personally think its an excellent idea, if the right range of items is on sale through there.
I think we are/were trying to get in bed with RAFA, RAFBF or something to offer logo’d civvy clothes but I think we need to go much further and be able to offer that, plus the whole gamut of uniform items, for purchase via a website if additional items are desired by individuals to supplement issued kit.
^^^Good idea. Musn’t be tat being sold though.
Has anyone seen the list of potential items that were drawn up?
see the attached…that is what i saw come through asking for our opinons on which three should be sold and which three should be giveaways…
edit: turns out the file is too big to attach, bare with me!
maybe it has worked this time???
bare with me!
Can we bear with you instead?
do what needs doing…the files are attached now…
Hmmm, a lot of that is tat or should be gizzits.
seconded, i think the dog tags, rubiks cube, paperweight and sewing kit are pointless, they simply have no appeal to the target audience, namely 12-13yr old potential recruits or current Cadets…the tshirts are nothing special and i cant see anyone rushing out to get a keyring.
i can imgaine the Cadets wanting a hoodie or mug but the rest is all gizits suitable to dish out at a recruitment stand…
Baseball caps would be pretty decent for shooting type stuff!
Water bottles are a decent idea too if you get all your cadets to own one.

Why the RAFBF? The ACO also needs to obtain funds as a Charity, why can the small profit not go that way or be used to provide the clothes at cost (inc running costs) to allow the end user to obtain something cheap? “Access to All!”
Talking about supplementing issue items - anybody used www.uniformstores.co.uk ? I know how issue items can sometimes take a long time to arrive - and when I was a cadet for example I started buying my own shirts because it was quicker.
