Hello, calling all First Air Officers and Trainers, wondering on the old First Aid training syllabus, which First Aid badge would an RLSS Lifegard qualify for?
I don’t believe it would qualify for anything. My understanding is that it’s only the SJA Courses that count Heart Start, YFA & AFA as Blue, Bronze & Silver respectively.
Anything else even FAAW don’t count.
Agree. As a lifeguard myself it won’t get you a bronze or silver first aid badge, I’ve already asked.
For those with Advanced Life Support both Adult and Paediatric (Resuscitation council UK) Heartstart is exempt and I suspect Advanced Trauma Life Support and Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support as well.
