What is the liklihood of a WO becoming OIC when a Junior officer (Flying Officer) applies to become OC.
The WO attendance is more or less 100% where as the Officers is more 50%.

WOs chance is higher if in their applicstion they say they are looking to Commision once settled in post.
I can think of a few Sqns with WOs as OiC with one or two officers working under them. It’s not how HQAC like things to work - but it does work.
It shouldn’t make any difference but as @Paracetamol says, say you are looking to commission.
The attendance of either is largely irrelevant, we are adults, with jobs to pay for our lives and support hobbies . I’ve known a number people inc sqn cdrs who due to work have been at the sqn month about, 1 out 3 weeks due to shift patterns and all manner of reasons … this is only a hobby and should be 3rd in our priorities. I think attendance is something too many get too excited about. We don’t get paid to do run of the mill air cadet things, so there is no obligation to attend any more than we can.
That’s correct, as Inverness follows that model they have a WO that is the OIC and a Fg Off as the Adj.
WO might be encouraged to go for commission.
I would say very high.
I am a WO and was OIC of a Sqn. I’m now officially the OC after passing SCC in Dec 20.
Even if we had Commisioned officers on Sqn apparently I would still be oc.
