No 3 now part of initial kitting, existing CFAVs can exchange kit(on fair wear and tear basis)
Access for cadets across the country to part worn kit instead of it going to commercial disposal.

Quick question - if we have never received initial kitting of MTP can we order it?
As otherwise is the exchange of our existing privately purchased kit?

Got my badge still in it’s wrapper and I’ll pass on the coveralls 
It’s this so when it dies you can get it replaced for free
It’s a secret test, if any CI decided to actually wear the badge… 
I don’t think they’re issued anymore, at least I didn’t - which is no bad thing when I’ve probably only seen a single one in my cadet and CFAV career…

Free. The final details are still being ironed out on how its rolled out but the intent is to know by end of July

Should caveat here there isn’t going to be enough kit on day 1 to kit every cadet out, but there will be a mechanism to ask for kit
This feels like such a big win. A long time coming.
Can I suggest that initial kiting is for those cadets who joined in 2026 & then others by exception then case by case.
A lot of current cadets will already have it so newer parents will be the easier initial demand
Let’s wait and see what the role out is. I don’t think it will be an initial kitting perse. But a way to source kit instead of private purchase
Gotcha - still may be a good method to initially & phase in the rationing.
Just to double triple quadruple check, is this free for officers too?
And is it just the first exchange of each item that’s free, or ongoing?
On a broader point, can we do something about officers being charged for their uniforms? My £22 odd payment barely scratches the surface, I’d love to go down the SNCO route of just exchanging stuff.
I get the logic of officers paying for theirs when they’re full time fully paid regulars, but as volunteers it takes the biscuit to be entirely honest.
I did check and yes for officers too. It’s fair wear and tear exchange same as blue kit

Paying for uniform was one of the things which put me off the comission route into uniform and the many times being asked to jump across from SNCO.
It’s where all the cool kids hang out anyways
