My Muster by another Cluster

As far as I can see by JUST THAT POLICY ALONE it’s perfectly permissable, you just need to tell the barman to stop serving any alcohol for the entire time you’re present.

They won’t, but heads should roll for that.

Safeguarding, expect a cadet to not eat and more importantly let him drive back to Benson with no breakfast?

I would of just gone home and not come back

To add if I were the parent of that cadet, the phone call between myself and the CRAFAC would be a one-sided conversation regarding this disgusting situation. Any obstruction would then be a threat or speak to me or the press, your choice.

D’you what would be a really good H&S/safeguarding policy?

Line one, paragraph one:

Will you feel comfortable explaining this to a Coroner?

Imagine the utter xxxx storm if that cadet, tired and hungry, had had a fatal accident while driving back the next morning.

It just defies description that anyone would think ‘yeah, that sounds like a plan…’

The MOD would be very very vicariously liable…

Let’s not complain too vociferously, we all know that this HWAC’s answer won’t be ‘have a sensible policy’ it will be something like all cadets are banned from driving themselves to activity off squadron.

Sadly, we know it’s the way sometimes.

That needs feeding up the chain as a formal complaint. Disgusting behaviour

I’ve spoken to my cadet that attended the Muster tonight. He had a 0400 start, queued for 5 hours to fly to go from “you’ll get to fly” to “you might get to fly” to “you won’t get to fly”

He came away sunburnt from waiting in the open for so long.

Apparently, he didn’t have the longest wait either. Allegedly there were cadets in my Wing who were queueing for 7 hours to be told they weren’t flying. He reckons that it was roughly 1-in-5 on his coach who actually managed to fly.

Highlight of the day was a photo with CAC.

This is from a very dedicated and able cadet that always finds the positive in a situation.

If anyone is contact with said cadet - please encourage them to submit a near-miss report.

I hope this has been included in the event’s med reports. I hope that all heat injuries have (but how many won’t be as didn’t report to FA?).

Does the SMS post activity report contain the WBGT recorded on the day, as required by our new policy?

Who am I kidding. Can’t do a post activity report without at least approving the event first…

Just thought I’d check. Still not approved. Not so much as a comment on it.

Also spotted this on the sub apps that I somehow missed before:

Edit:

Looks like we had the same idea at the same time!

Ha. Yeah. And I really was guessing it hadn’t been approved still. I don’t have SMS access so can’t see the activity! Just knew it’d be in draft…

Anyone for a sweepstake?

I’ll take status eventually changed to “cancelled”.

Then if changed to ‘cancelled’ there needs to be some serious questions asked as to why!!

I’ve heard that its been separately authorised by CAC.

So yeh, thats not showing up in any of our event logs

Well, I found the medical plan:

OC Med is listed on the FragO if you want to ask more.
