MTP creases, do we do it?

I’ve seen different services (RM, and stuff) that have creases in their MTP, but I’ve never heard it mentioned in the ACO, only creases in DPM. Are we supposed to put them in?

No. DPM should have creases, MTP should not (except barracks shirts I believe).

“Combats are for dying in, not ironing”

Works better out loud, than written, mind.

Having said that, please try and avoid dying in your MTP whilst on cadet duties. The paperwork and inquest are both tedious.

No however if you buy second hand you might find they have creases are already in, in which case leave them but don’t press them in any more, if that makes sense.

Depends who you speak too. Still need clarity.

My former housemate was army reserve. My MTP arrived just as I was about to go on uni activities one weekend, and he took it upon himself to wash and iron my MTP. Much as I was grateful for the help, it took me an age to get the creases out again

I stick a crease in mine as I think it would look daft without but I’ve certainly seen people with them ironed flat

Easy one.

Nope.
