Hi

My squadron is looking into replacing our minibus.

Can anyone point me towards the paperwork for the MOD minibus discount scheme. Assuming it is still available of course

Still available. Was always listed in CROs - never saw any paperwork anywhere else!

ORDER NO 12. PURCHASE OF NEW SQUADRON OWNED MINIBUSES AT DISCOUNTED PRICES

  1. Over the years a number of ATC squadrons have purchased their own minibuses and HQ RAFAC are frequently asked about MoD discounted schemes for such purchases. HQ RAFAC have arranged for ATC squadrons to purchase new LDV Convey or Ford Transit minibuses at a discount on the List Price utilising the Government Enabling Contract.

The quote you’re given is only valid for a short time window. SO, if writing a lottery application etc, expect that you’ll be expected to make up the shortfall in funding between the money you’re given and the actual cost of the minibus as the two prices very rarely marry up!!!
