Military Aircraft Systems

I’ve just taken a look at the PowerPoint slides for MAS. They are even worse than the usual gash standard for Ultilearn in that all they provide is a rather tedious look at the different kinds of guns & bombs out there. (About as dry as teaching Aircraft Knowledge.) What’s missing is material to help teach about the other learning objectives as stated in the Instructor’s Notes about how the damn things work.

Since I’m a rather busy chap at the moment, I’m wondering if anyone out there has already taken the time to a) find out what the required standard of knowledge would be for a cadet taking this course and b)already developed their own course material that they’d be willing to share.

You could potentially make it more interesting by using a combat flight sim to show off the different sorts of weapon systems. You could potentially do a deal with your local station’s armourer to go see the weapon systems in the flesh if you have good relations/have a local station with fighters.

Military Aircraft Systems as a subject is apparently ‘Currently being reviewed’ and ‘Not for use’.

Good. Saves me a B  r of a job, then!
