Forgive my ignorance but I was wondering if these were things that people could be nominated for? I know one staff member in my Wing who deeply deserves recognition but is passed over time and time again by the ‘powers that be’ and was hoping I could do something for them.
I may be over stepping the mark but any advice would be most appreciated.
To myKnowledge the Officeofthe Lord Lieutenant willusualy send out a request for nominations to WHQs , WHQs are then supposed to request Squadron Commanders to send in their nominations to wing and Wing then submit these to the Lord Lieutenants officed for their consideration.
Usualy the request for nominatuions is sent out along with the forms for the nomination of Lord Lt Cadets
So Unless you are a Sqn Cmdr whose nomination to wing is deemed suitableto sendinIdont youllget anywhere, You couldalways lookatanomination for a High Sheriff certificate.
Outof Uniformand as a civillian you couldalways write directly to the Lord Lts office with your recommendation, however I would assume thatif youmention the ATCprotocol would dictate that they will goback via Wing…

AH well first of all you are going to have to live in an area with a High Sheriff for the County, again its a nomination processwhich I believe goes through the Wing, however once again you can always contact the Office of the High Sheriff usualy located somewhere within your county Council offices. Usual these areMeritorious Service within the community.
Alternatively why not just start by askingthe Wing Commander to produce aWing Commanders commendationofr Similar…
