Leadership Trailers, what happened to them?

Back in 2019, a whole lifetime ago, I was trained in how to use the “leadership trailers”. This was my review at the time:

Aside from DSW using it once, (and swearing not to even bother after that weekend) I have neither seen, nor heard of them even seeing use. Last I heard of them at all, the trailers leaked like sieves and i imagine all the wood rotted.

The question is, has anyone used them in the last 5 years? The topic came up last week in the context of regionally held canoes and climbing walls, but noone else had even heard of these.

Never seen or used one. Nor can I think of an any event where such a trailer has been. What do they look like? The link in your old post is dead.

KInda like this: But I don’t think it was ALL of that kit. It was all very heavy, very cumbersome, very staff intensive. I spent the whole day thinking we’d been mugged off to be honest.

What WAS good, was their ‘Bags of Character’ product. The ATC would have been far better off sacking off the trailer nonsense and just buying the bags.

Ive used SWR one before.

Took an hour or two to set up some challenge course.

How was the condition?

W&W one is parked at Cosford still. Not seen it for a couple of years in use, suspect it would have got damp and mouldy.

The company they had them from is only round the corner from me.

Interesting. Not sure I have seen this before. Looks like something that is very expensive and not super great to use… :thinking:

I did a “Fam Day” on the SWR kit earlier this year. Was told that as I’d done the fam day I could support a special few who’d done the proper course in running it, aka massive waste of time.

Overall the kit looked in good nick and I’d love to actually use it :person_shrugging:

Looked ok last time, but not seen it this half of the year.
