Latest Activity Stop - Road Marching Issues

I think it’s a case of they like the shiny but not the hassle & probably see the volunteers as complicated & argumentative & get in the way of their three year plan.

HQ has got to make their relationship work for the volunteers, the volunteers have to get their relationship to work for HQ & both have to make the whole shebang work for the RAF.

Maybe if we were… VR(T) or something…
Then they could delegate everything to us and Courts Martial us if anything went wrong

Would be interesting considering:

  1. That’s an annual camp ACP and not all camps are annual camps
  2. The cadety JSP (whatever the number is) has just been updated, probably due to the ACF getting staff cadets, to say that we should prefer to accommodate separately but it’s appropriate to accommodate together if no other choice

Over 18 yo cadets have to wear a ‘Staff Cadet’ slide… does that not imply something ?
They are legally adults and are DBS cleared, so why not treat them as staff ?

Personnel wise, RAFAC is larger that its ‘parent’ service (not a lot of parenting that I can see), so why would they want to bin it ?
VR(T) Officers were useful when the RAFwanted to up its numbers.

We are getting further and further away from the RAF ! Sad !

(Apologies for going off topic)

Has anyone heard anything on what is happening on Nijmegen Marches.

I see that RAF WARMA are pushing the deadline for Cosford 2 Day March, which is used by many to qualify for Nijmegen.

Latest news I’ve heard (semi-officially) is that the BMC have cut cadet numbers, but there is to be a RAFAC presence through BMC and that the only RAFAC-endorsed BMC qualifier is to be Cosford.

As far as I know, no progress on civvy teams.
