John Lennon - Air Cadet?

Hello All!

I remember reading a few years ago that apparently a record of service card had been found that indicated that John Lennon was a member of the Air Training Corps.

The article says that the card had been sent to the ATC for verification, does anybody on here know if it was ever confirmed?

Is it customary for firefighters to loot burned-out premises?

I hope he does the decent thing and hands the loot to the Squadron concerned.

Fairly sure I have seen it in one of the London Museums - either the V&A or the Science Museum, and it is an old-school ATC record of service.

So yes, John Lennon was an ATC cadet (for a time!).
