Serious question… brace yourself!
Has anyone ever gone to a job centre to try and recruit staff and civ com members?
Obviously as a volunteer position.
If so any success? Issues? Would you do it again?

Not sure it would fit the remit of the job centre in terms of volunteering as my understanding they want things that are most days and the organisations offering the opportunity for training to enhance job skills. What we want is someone to come in and do and our training opportunities are too infrequent.
A better bet might be the local council as they may have a volunteer centre, but this seems to attract the older generations who have retired and want something to do during the day. Our local council has one and we put up a poster asking for help and after 3 years not one show of interest. When I spoke to the people there, it did seem we didn’t fit the profile of the others asking for help. We had a little more luck with a poster in the local library but then that was only one and he came onto the civ comm, but was excellent.
