I thought that, but I had a quick look at a list of subjects and didn’t see it.
Probably just looked at a duff list. No harm done.

Only since the re-organisation - it used to be split between propulsion and satellite comms.
I thought Rocketry was always part of Propulsion as Volume 3?
Rocket engines, yes - the principles of spacecraft were certainly in the old sat-comms syllabus.
It wasn’t a separate volume back in the day - propulsion was a single subject.
Lol ‘back in the day’ that’s only 10 years ago…
That’s nothing…scary to think the LASER review is approaching 20 years old
Now you’ve just made me feel ancient
True.
That and the bulldog being removed from service.
Last time I checked the only serving fixed wing a/c in our trg materials was the Hawk, and only because the Reds have kept their mk1s. Luckily some nice industry people have supplied some posters of modern kit.
146, Sentry, Typhoon and, kinda, Herc too. But I take your point.
The stuff in our files wasn’t even that recent!
The Herc was in service before the Hawk though!
The others, fair enough.
And Tutor
And Viking, but I wasn’t really including them as they’re not really in service with the RAF. Nor the BBMF.
But point stands, of the 30+ ac in ACP34.2, only 5 or 6 are still relevant. That’s incredibly damning.
12, surely?
Why are we naming aircraft?
Wishing years away. Oops.
It’s under review… but no definite outcome.
However I have yet to hear of a cadet being told he can’t wear the MAC badge and a lot of CCFs are in fact issuing it. Indeed one of mine wore it at RAST on Sunday and was not criticised (though the DIs were ATC so maybe weren’t aware).
I am asking my OC today for permission to wear it
