Intake in April?

Hiya all,

I am not sure if this is unusual or not but our squadron is having a new intake in April/May ish because of the Sea Cadets apparently. We just had ITF Finish and become First Class and waiting until June for enrolment. Not sure if other squadrons do this but it seems unusual.

It’s unusual to wait 2+ months after achieving first class to be enrolled.

Typically enrollment should occur 1-2 months after joining, and first class should take 4-6 months in total.

My unit invites new recruits to join in September/October and April/May.

Our Regular intake is September and January.
