hi guys recently i decided to purchase a instant bulling formula for my shoes only to find its not allowed does anyone have any tips on how to remove it?!
Just use polish over them?
I don’t think thy would work
Sorry that*
Who says it’s not allowed?? I know plenty of personnel who use it.
What about officers who have oxfords with patent leather toe caps?
Exactly. The person telling them is some cadet or adult SNCO who just likes to make things up.
Cellan2001 someone’s spinning you a line. Ignore them and carry on. Who’s to say it’s instant bulling? If you don’t tell them they won’t know.
One method of removing is to use nail varnish remover/white spirits on a cotton wool pad, but it does take a long time.
in a well-ventilated area.

Oh, that’s where I’ve been going wrong all these years…
Says Baldrick from somewhere up near the ceiling…
The trouble with the ‘instant shine’ things is that they’re silicon-based (also the case with fire-retardant aircrew boot polish). Once you’ve used them on your shoes you’ll find it very difficult for normal polish to adhere to your shoes.
I assume that in this case we’re talking about a “Shape-UP!” or “Morello” type lacquer / Poly coating, rather than the silicone quick shine pads?
