If you could redesign the uniform, what would you add to it?

If we continue the model of providing the uniform free of charge then I wouldn’t change a thing other than availability. Perhaps take it under region HQ control rather than RAF.

If we were to move to a purchase your uniform model then I would condense all our blues into a single uniform.

I would add more natural fibres to the shirts.

I think we need more badges :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Allow long sleeve wedgewood without tie as an order of dress.

Long sleeve and short sleeve Wedgewood blue shirts instead of Wedgewood and working blue long sleeve shirts for cadets.

Ditch blues. MTP instead.

Padded shoulders. Bring back the 80s!

Only with sleeves rolled up. And then abolish the nasty short sleeved shirts…

So options would be

Shirt, tie, jumper
Shirt, tie
Shirt, sleeves rolled up, no tie

I like my short sleeved shirts!

100% better quality uniform.

Bring back Ben Sherman shirts and the “heavyweight” trousers.

3rd brassard.

3rd I hear you say… yes that’s right because under the twitter queen a 2nd is surely already imminent.
Get that 3rd one going.

If JL sewn on back of shirt.
If QAIC sewn on left trouser side. Both greens and blues.
If only a MOI holder 3rd one is sewn as a flap over left brassard.

@Paracetamol no cod pieces… You had to go there didnt you.

I think we should get an Aircadets woggle and neckerchief. We may as well as we have more badges than them now

It would just need to be more practical than trousers, shirts and jumpers, without going into “greens”.

what about Shirt, jumper

ie wecan wear a jumper without needing to put a tie on

do we…I thought we only had two more than before PTS?

I am not totally-convinced about your Royal Canadian Air Cadets ‘wedge caps’ for Cadets. In my opinion, us British have a better arrangement with berets as headgear for Cadets.

I think Canadian Cadets ^can^ look smart in your tunics. But for less-experienced RCAir Cadets…it sometimes looks a bit…untidy. Needs a lot more effort & upkeep, compared to our super-easy RAF Air Cadets jumpers.

However- I do like the idea of your Cadet medals…maybe it would not work, for us in the UK. But it would give British Cadets something very-special to aim towards. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Strathcona_Medal

It was a little bit of sarcasm. But with some truth added in.

Although they cannot display them all, over the course of 7 years i had a quick work out that a cadet could technically accumulate 56 different badges.

In fact thats not even including classification badges. I took that purely from the Blue PTS pamphlet and times them all by 4.
