IBN on requisition of RAFAC buildings (MACA)

Funny how they can sleep in the buildings and we can’t

Yeah…
They put in a battery operated smoke detector then afterwards we got an email reminding us we can’t sleep in the building

All depends on who the ‘we’ is; is it RAFAC, RFCA or the OC Sqn.

Knowing how things work, RFCA will make a call and the squadron will find out later :man_facepalming:t2:

I dont seriously think many if any buildings will be commandeered.
It’s all probably because the MOD have asked for an inventory of locations.

Anyway, neither Wing nor RFCA have keys to my Sqn… never have.

So I’d like to see them get access without me, short of breaking the door down.

Good from you. Very society and citizen focussed!

If they actually want it, They will bring a locksmith and change all the locks in about 20 mins.

I know that.
It’s more the funny side that HQAC think WHQs have their ducks in a row.

Wasn’t there a discussion here about some properties being Sqn not MOD owned? The IBN says all are MOD

Our Sqn building and land is privately owned just maintains RFCA… who also pay us to use it as a cadet building

And let’s say hypothetically a unit was used, and Squadron privately owned equipment, items, relics whatever were stolen or damaged as has been eluded to here already. If they were not replaced or value covered, then would the civilian committee have a case to seek recourse through the small claims court?

RFCA… pay the Sqn…

:hushed: I have heard it all now!

Out of curiosity, do you know how much they pay?

Our Local ACF unit have their rent paid for by our RFCA.

The ACF unit meets in an Army Reserve Building.

This is doing the rounds on social media - anyone know where ?

500 (Headcorn) Sqn in Kent. It’s on an aerodrome so lots of space around it with big buildings, so not sure if they’re actually using the sqn building.

Nice flower pots though.

guess that’s one of the Boots operated testing centres that’s popped up

I’m sure that a few are owned by the squadrons. I know of at least 1 so must be a few more.

Six months! Six months!!

Can we have a permanent lock on threads after 6 months please?

Any new info would likely be more suitable in a new thread anyway.
