So my reading of ACP 112 has not assisted here, the language is unclear.
For the CFAV course it’s advised that it is “mandatory” nice and clear
For the Cadet course it says the training package “is to be” delivered, which sounds mandatory but doesn’t use the same wording.
It goes on to say:
It is recommended that the new SAB is delivered to Cadets on a regular basis, it will prove especially useful delivered prior to a visit to a military site, attendance at a Public Military Event or prior to a RAFAC sponsored overseas visit.
Does this mean for these suggested activities the SAB is a requirement of attendance and therefore when making selections I’d need to confirm this (alongside HIP + CIP & EFA)?
Following this IBN, we looked at this at my Sqn. The SAB qual on SMS is an annual one, so not only do they need to have evidenced this for First Class, but it seems to then be required every year after this to keep them “current”.
