Oh dear oh dear
I bought a house near an RAF air station which opened in 1941 and there are PLANES flying! Anyone else think they are complaining during lockdown because they have nothing better to do?
I live near an RAF Station and there are planes flying, should get the response of “you lucky sod”
I’d be out plane spotting
Had it at my “local” before, where people have a look round a house at the weekend. They can hear the occasional Grob or private aircraft taking off, no issues. Can live with that.
They buy the house, move in over the weekend…
… First thing Monday morning… The roar of a Tornado going on its 1st trip of the day!
Que the phone call from “concerned of Tunbridge Wells”, who isn’t happy with the noise of the airfield… That’s been operational since 1918!
This is the same as people move into the country and moan about the smell of farms, ,buy a house near a church and complain about bell ringing or buy a house next to a main toad and moaning about traffic noise. My mate’s an EHO and has to do sound surveys and done a few on houses on or near to main roads, where the people seem to have missed the road. Not one complaint upheld.
Mum and Dad had a caravan in Rhosneigr - only visited for weekends / long weekends for the first 5 years. First time they stayed for a week they had a heart attached when a hawk took off over the caravan at 7:30. Never realised what the huge strip of tarmac was 150m from the caravan.
