I concur. Waiting on average 6 - 8 weeks for remuneration and MMA payments this year.

P87 available on the HMRC website - looks a bit scary bit if your jsut a bog standard employee then there only is one bit to fill in
Had a payment for a training day in June, but still not had Nijmegen payment - although one staff member on the team has had theirs. The other is still waiting as well.
I wonder if they’re sorting the forms alphabetically and paying in that order?
Currently got about 14 days waiting I think - makes it very hard to know how many days are actually left in the allowance if nothing else. I’m sure everyone gets more selective about the activities they do at this time of year, and renumeration comes into it for many (especially with Christmas approaching)
HQ ACO must be a great place to work. Imagine running an organisation of 11,000 in the real world and being incapable of paying/reimbursing your employees. Would the person responsible still have a job or would he be given his P45 and directions to the nearest job centre? I’m only down a couple of hundred and I’m not really missing it, if I’m honest but I know of one young Fg Off who is owed in excess of £800 from claims dating back to July. We have people in our ranks who take unpaid leave to do work for the ACO, we have the self-employed who forego work to do their part and we have the unemployed who must sign off if they go away with cadets. Moreover, most of these claims are reimbursement for money that has already been spent.
Wg Cdr Admin has just sent out a note saying that he’s ordered his staff to stop answering phone calls and to delete incoming emails regarding pay claims without reading. I wonder what his reaction would be if HQ ACO starts getting a flurry of orders from the Small Claims Courts. It just goes to show that for all the fine words that are spoken by the hierarchy and the increasing pressure to perform to professional standards, we’re either being treated with contempt as compliant amateurs or we’re simply being led by idiots who wouldn’t last 6 months in Civvy Strasse. Either way, it’s another needless blow to morale that came very close to making me walk out the door this week.

Just read the comments on the other thread. I sympathise with the junior staff, who did nothing to cause this mess, yet must do the leg work to overcome it, but their superiors have failed us. It’s an institutional failure and senior people deserve to be held to account. The people we are talking about are, allegedly, the professionals. We are the volunteers. They’re being paid, and I’m going to hold them to a higher standard. (But, for the record, the argument “I’m just a volunteer” carries exactly no weight with me, either.)
If it was HQ ACO staff’s pay and expenses on the line, everything would come to a screeching halt until it was sorted. We all know plenty of civil servants and servicemen around the country who wouldn’t drive from Daedalus House to the Spar by the main gate for some biccies for the tea swindle without putting in a F1771, so let’s not wax lyrical about how they are doing their best in tough circumstances. A lot of us are doing our best in difficult circumstances. It’s just that some of us are being left considerably out of pocket and others think it’s acceptable to get on the net and tell the those people in so many words that “you’re not imagining it, we are ignoring you.”
Have you not heard anything in the news about “rationalisation” of public services? Voluntary redundancy as directed by the MoD (outside of the ACOs control) makes it rather hard to maintain services.
