Recently I’ve just completed my training for bronze wings, and now I’m looking in to flying scholorships. Is there anywhere were you could view when applications come out or sign up for them?
Have you completed your gliding scholarship? I believe current policy is that to apply for a flying scholarship, you need to have first successfully completed a gliding scholarship.
No I haven’t yet, I’m looking for either scholorship really, I just don’t really know where to look
Ask one of your staff members to reach out to the Wing Aviation Officer.
RAFAC Fixed Wing Scholarship applications for 2025 have most likely closed as wing selection have to be submitted to region next week.
Gliding scholarship is not essential but very much desirable before applying for ACPS.
Speak to staff as VZ says and get them to put you in touch with the WAvnO. Unlike in past years, most regions now allow you to apply at any time and if you are selected you will be added to the bottom of the list - as places become available they are offered to those at the top (allowing a bit for cadets in danger of ‘aging out’). So, the earlier you apply the better, once you are eligible.
Our wg recently pushed out details for both SGS & ACPS - both with a time limit for applying.
