How come QAIs don't graduate in No.1s?

I’m not on QAIC this year or have been previously, I’m just curious to why graduating Junior Leaders get to graduate wearing No.1, while graduating QAIs don’t? All graduating photos show them only wearing blues trousers and a white shirt with black bowtie. Is there any reason for this?

Possibly because it’s a waste of equipment? To be worn once that is.

Don’t QAI’s graduate in flying suits and bow ties?

It’s a fair point, but one which is probably best asked of the DS at QAIC. There is no reason for either position in the AP, as arguably QJLs have no paper right to them, but it is the way it is done at grad dinner.
