Hi from Coningsby!

Hi gang,

I stumbled across this forum while researching about becoming a service instructor. Just registered and am looking forward to finding out more about this rewarding role.

A bit about myself. I’m an aircraft tecky in the RAF and have been for about 8 years, but more importantly, it was my time as an air cadet that inspired my career choice. It would be nice to give something back to the ATC one day, and I hope to find the right information (and banter!) on this site.

Many thanks!

Welcome!

Don’t take the grumpy ones personally on here, we’re all bitter and twisted

But I hope you enjoy your time as an SI, it is great to have serving personnel giving something back!

Thanks!

There are plenty of grumpy types in the RAF as it is, I’m sure I’ll get used to them in time :-).

It’ll be nice to engage with some like minded people away from work (sort of, if you ignore the uniform thingy!), also to teach kids with the same interests I had when I was in the ATC.
