The problem what the 3 categories of staff do on a sqn is not that distinct. We are all instructors in a youth organisation that have to do all sorts and wear different hats purely appease the higher organisation. Even at Wing it is only old hang ups around rank that creates some differentiation. It could say CIs do this, SNCOs that and Officers the other, when the lines are so blurred, when someone joins, they would soon find this out. You can of course paint a fluffy cloud, blue sky picture
Even for cadets you have to be careful in how you word it.
Oh @Teflon ! It’s all hopeless, let’s just never do anything, so you can then complain about that instead.
And Reg Civ Com and Padre.
Website needs to ‘set expectations’.
Dont show 100s of photos of cadets flying and only 1 of classroom stuff.
Reality is other way round.
Do things but don’t lie or present a falsehood. I’m not sure the way the website portrays the organisation would stand up to a proper scrutiny.
There is little difference between the strands of adult staff today apart from the different headings. The new look website has to have integrity and if anything when it comes to adult staff the application process, explained, expected time line and mandatory training fully laid out.
What the cadets will be able to do on average sqn, not things that require specialised staff, or where places are severely limited and or age/experience related.
God forbid I agree with you for once but this is actually quite a rational suggestion
