Help for new civcom

I was wondering if anybody has any initial presentation and resources for new civcom members. As i am basically starting with completely new civcom and I don’t have really anything to be able to give them or even give new potential civcom members who ask for more information about it and their role etc and what they have to be doing. As surprisingly we don’t have a civcom course that new staff would go on that eould introduce them to it all and show them everything they have to do which considering the amount of stuff new cfavs do you would think there would be set course or something for new civcom.

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated as I am getting asked the questions but I don’t have the answers for them currently.

Also of how to go about in terms of recruitment to make civcom appealing and something to give to new potentials again explaining the role etc.

thanks again

Hi Rock,

Although I’ve designed it for West Mercian Wing, feel free to direct your trustees to our Wing’s Trustee Hub on SharePoint: Sign in to your account

The Hub includes an induction section and recruitment guidance.

If you’re looking for public recruitment info, feel free to utilise Join as a Trustee » West Mercian Wing RAFAC. As there is little public RAFAC trustee recruitment info, I’ve designed it so the core info is still relevant across the UK.

Any questions, let me know or drop me an email via chair.wmw

This is awesome. Hopefully HQAC should look at this as best practice and roll out nationally. Nudging @Ben_Wakefield here

There are a lot of things like this across the org. Where a Wing or Region is doing something great, that would be fantastic going org-wide.

Part of the ASTRA thing was to find these kinds of things, and make them accessible to all, or sign post them. But of course literally nothing has happened on that front.
