How does the Heartstart programme work? I have the DISC with
Do you litterally make the Cadets watch these. Practise them and then asssess?
Then what form do I fill in so they can get their certificate? Any help woill be appreciated here. Thanks

You get somebody who is an approved Heartstart instructor in and they will deliver the course in the way that Heartstart require it to be delivered.
The course itself is simple and is an attendance course - There is no assessment and cadets cannot fail it.
As above really.
Wing First Aid Team trained me to be an “instructor” which was basically running through the whole course in slow time indicating points ot note…interesting there were more things that shouldnt be said thatn should, simply because of the level of the qualification.
to teach it is simple, introduce the subject, maybe question what the class already know, if anything, watch the video, demonstrate yourself then allow the Cadets to practise/mime the actions themselves.
edit: this is easily taught at Squadron on a parade night, two videos/subjects a night and in the week the Cadets are trained and have a Certificate to take home (i’m not sure what paperwork is required though, names are passed to the Adj and certificates magically appear!)
