I think because we were originally given the resus annie big ones when we started doing HeartStart - circa 2 per squadron and an additional 3 per wing. Stand to be corrected though, I know SEMids did

Just a bit of an update about this subject. I spoke to BHF, who emailed me the following response:
“You can train people outside the Air Cadets scheme but you would have to ask for the AFC’s permission and would need to issue the attendance certificates in the AFC’s name.”
I’m not 100% sure, but I would imagine that AFC is short for Air Force Cadets, since I emailed as a RAFAC sqn.
So it looks like the RAFAC is blocking people from delivering this qualification, for reasons unknown. Perhaps they are unaware that the BHF offer insurance for the sessions?
