Gold Musician Badge

Hello everyone,

I’ve noticed on the progressive training syllabus that to be eligible for a gold musician badge, you must have carried out national representation. What is the criteria for ‘national representation’ and does representation at a ‘National Cadet Music Camps’ qualify you for a gold musician badge? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes I believe so. Go to a Corps’ camp and they present you with it.

But I think it’s only valid for one year after which you revert to bronze/silver depending on the grade you achieved.

It’s FS and not Flt/Sgt, Flt Sgt, F/Sgt, F Sgt. FS

Nothing in ACTO123 (or AP1358C) says anything about a time limit for any musician badge at any level.

Removed names for PERSEC

I stand corrected. I could have sworn I read somewhere that you need to be reselected for the relevant national ensemble annually to keep the Gold badge but its not in the ACTO so can’t think where else I read it.

We’re a CCF RAF section, so limited material we can access.

I’ve reverted the original post back to its original version so others will be able to use it for reference.
