Gliding Medical Question

Got gliding tomorrow, AV med form says I have to do the F6424 form for my ADHD but obviously not gonna be able to have a completed copy by 8am tomorrow, but if it says “if the cadet meets DVLA private driving medical requirements” and I have a driving license, would this likely be enough for me to fly?

Does your Sqn know about your ADHD? Surely they would of/should have said something?

Best bet is send a message to your escorting CFAV. It may be that you need to sit this one out and let them take someone from the reserve list. Really the staff should have sorted this before now.
Personally, regardless of who is to blame, if you don’t have the forms ready a few days before gliding then you’re not going. It isn’t fair on you going there and having to sit out due to lack of documentation, and it isn’t fair to the cadet who misses out on the slot

@lawrence21 you need to tell your SQN staff ASAP, unfortunately you will be unable to glide until you have completed the 6424 process.

This is why I insist on having all forms completed & submitted in advance of selection to avoid such issues and disappointment, and complete regular AvMed1 checks so that 6424s are in place.

ADHD will likely be passed as safe, BUT you absolutely have to get the F6424 done.

Contact your staff, let them know the situation and sit tomorrow out. If something were to go wrong tomorrow, and it turned out you hadnt completed the F6424 when you knew you needed to, it could land you and the staff in serious hot water.
