Hi,
I am going gliding for the first time, i know that there is quite a lot of work need to help the plane take off.
Is there anything you need to bring? I struggle to remember to think of common sense things to bring to camps and activities.

If you ask your sqn staff, they should be able to print off Joining Instructions for you, but in general:

  • Wear MTP
  • Bring Sunglasses
  • Bring Packed Lunch and water bottle
  • Bring Trainers
  • Bring a camera with wrist strap.

Thanks, my staff almost never do any joining Instructions for sqn activities. But will ask anyway thanks. Any more advice

Modern 'phone is OK as long as it stowed safely when not in use. VGS staff will show you the stowage locations.
