GCSE and A Level Results

In honour of the recent A Level Results Day and GCSE Results Day 2026 I’ve decided to create this to see how people of the RAFAC have done outside of cadets! Just a place to celebrate if they went well, comfort one another if not and give advice to the future generations!! Plus i have nowhere to vent so…

I’ll start. fyi i have high expectations from myself my family and my peers, i dont mean to sound ungrateful if you get that impression

GCSE Edexcel Maths Higher - 7 (i was praying for this)

GCSE AQA Combined Science Trilogy Higher - 8-8
GCSE AQA English Lit (Macbeth, ACC, AIC, P+C) - 7 (i thought i fumbled paper 1 icl)
GCSE AQA English Lang - 7 (ill take that, think i couldve gotten an 8)
GCSE AQA German Higher - 6 (idrc about german tbh)
GCSE AQA Geography - 7
GCSE Edexcel Business - 7 (1 mark off an 8)
GCSE Edexcel History (anglo saxon and norman england, american west, usa conflict at home and aborad and medicine) - 7 (1 mark off an 8)

decent line up, consistent i guess, got those last 3 7s which im not happy with, thought i did much better, and dad kind of was a geogrpahy teacher so great(!), i thought papers were easy but clearly i was wrong, handwriting prejudice is definately real, getting business and history sent off to get looked at again, i really really wanted and thought i could get 9s in business geogrpahy and history, i found the papers super easy and did what i thought was amazing writing

Thank you!! Good luck with the new sixth form. Never heard of modern history before, whats the difference from regular history? I’m doing maths comp sci and geography - what exam board do you do for geography?

Even as a PhD student ChatGPT can be great for helping to explain concepts if you know the general facts already.

Just be wary of more complex concepts if you progress to University. It’s a language model NOT a fact checker/encyclopaedia.

i got it to quiz me, id upload my notes and pics from revision guides and got it to quiz me and mark some of my work

im doing OCR geography and history - for my sixth forms spec its:

early stuarts and origins of the english civil war (i dont really care about that part and its only like 20%) 1603-1660
democracy and dictaroships in germany 1919-1963
russia and its rulers 1855-1964 so thats like tsars then lenin stalin and khrushchev commies etc
and theres NEA about anything i want in modern history followed up by an essay about any form of decolonialisation
