I feel pretty strongly that a big air war at RAF Syerston once per year, perhaps as a finale to the air show, is very much desirable.

I’d love to see more RC Fixed wing (building & flying) within the air cadets, along with quadcopter’s it’s the closest mainly cadets will get to real flight.

What a satisfying project too. Parts to actual flight.
And we could teach them to fly on sims first, to reduce damages!
Pffttt that massive RC aircraft in the video looks to be built out of insulation board and gaffa tape, skip the SIM and go straight to flight, then cadets learn to not crash or damage the aircraft else they have to spend time repairing it.
