Fundraising Advice?

Trying to raise funds to get a SOV and was wondering if there is any guidance on what is and isn’t allowed? and obviously all ideas are welcome

Get friendly with a local Freemason lodge. They may have swollen charity accounts due to COVID

Not too uncommon for Cadets to get donations from them.

Pretty much anything is allowed as long as you stick to normal charity law rules. Obviously robbing a bank is not allowed…

As for large purchases, some of the best ways is actually to look at grants, rather than fundraising. (Or so I’ve seen before). Look at local council grants, local charity grants, supermarkets etc etc. Things like rotary clubs, freemasons etc etc are also good to look into.

Police funding from the proceeds of crime is a good one to tap in to as well.

Or just cut out the middle man and make your own proceeds of crime.

Do what the warden did in the Shawshank Redemption and get your Cadets to act as cheap labour and undercut competitors and subsequently take “pies” from said competitors.

Pity though, it’s a very good command management and leadership exercise.

Getting caught just shows a deficiency in the plan. This year’s Royal Institute Lectures are on forensic science ala CSI, learning points to be had.

Going to need at least a silver leadership badge to organise that one!

You mean getting caught as an air cadet?

I don’t see a problem with putting on SCC No1 uniform and storming Natwest
