I’m glad we got rid of him, and cannot believe we conned them into paying £55m for him. I’d have driven him there myself for £40m. He’s got the first touch of a trampoline, can’t pass and has too much ego for a team player.
Just a shame all the people we were linked with didn’t want to come to us in the end. We don’t have the pull of big clubs, but we have now made about £120m profit on 4 players this summer.
