Also completley screwed over my fantasy league
They need to just keep doing it at every game, sit down protests at all of the stadium entrances. Prevent any further Man Utd games from happening and then they might have an effect.
Yeah defo be some lifetime club bans, although they might be lifted if the Glazers leave the club. Be interesting to see if their are any criminal prosecutions as those could lead to proper bans which would apply to both Club and Country which can be a right ballache if you want a summer holiday in the years of Major Tournaments.
(I once got a ticket tout banned from being in Public within 3 miles (or in any London Borough) of any venue where a Premier or English Football League (or English National Team) match was taking place for 3 hours prior to kickoff, with a requirement to surrender his passport the week before the English National Team played any Away fixture.).
The Anti-Glazer (and Ed Woodward) movement has been steadily growing for quite some time and this feels like a “camel’s back” moment that increased the numbers being vocal. The same at Arsenal and I think the whole thing will snowball as more become emboldened to speak and act up.
The Liverpool situation is interesting as there hasn’t been much controversy* and generally a lot of trust and gratitude until now; so I think many are a bit torn and so perhaps not as inclined to act so drastically - at least on such a widespread scale as at Arsenal and Utd.
Undoubtedly some bans and charges coming, but I don’t think those involved will mind so much - I wonder if FC United might be seeing another influx of fans…
If the Glazers do go, I think this would be a shrewd move by whoever takes over. Might depend if Premier League or FA act independently though as this affected Premier League scheduling and therefore business, as opposed to purely a matter of trespass/vandalism or events happening at a game that was still completed.
(*although various complaints about local community impact and other matters, especially around the stadium and training ground expansion and a few other things, ticket (especially season ticket) Prices, but that’s not strictly new or really a worsening situation. More besides, but not really anything that has created large scale “uproar”)
I personally think the glaziers do a fantastic job… They own the best team in the NFL right now
So the Special One is off to Roma, meaning Spurs only have to pay him the £3M he would’ve earned this season.
Southampton are gash.
If Liverpool get all 9 remaining points, Leicester need 4 out of 6, playing Chelsea and Spurs, and Chelsea need 6 out of 6, playing Leicester and Villa.
If Leicester only get 3, it’s up to goal difference which should work in Liverpool’s favour at that point…
Top 4 could happen.
Quite interesting still having a 3 way race for 3rd and 4th. If Chelsea or Liverpool completely bottle it maybe West Ham beats them to 5th! 4th if they both collapse.
In theory Spurs and Everton could make 4th or 5th and Arsenal could make 5th (ha!).
Champions Leagues or bust, I’d rather not qualify for the Europa it does more damage than good.
It’s the result I wanted to see but it’s things like that which make VAR so hated.
They need to introduce “umpire’s call” with the really border line offsides
There has to be a margin of error. They always talk and justify it how the machine is calibrated, but there’s still human eyes picking where the lines go, right?
I’d be up for setting the lines, then the defender’s line is thickened and if the attacker is still further forward it’s ruled off.
Lino’s rule always used to be “benefit of doubt to the attacker” and that would help reintroduce that. A couple of mm isn’t an advantage.
On to Fantasy Football… Why does Dallas only score against the big teams I bench him for, expecting Leeds to lose badly?
Clean sheet though, so not all bad!
I FORGOT
My vice Cpt and Cpt aren’t playing
It was already over for you anyway
Yeah I gave up weeks ago lol
Could turn it round yet for the ACC league… Maybe.
It was really close for a while.
1992?
Could be worse, I’m a Yiddo and that’s always a chore,
I don’t know, mate. It’s the fact Sunderland give you hope every time and then clutch it away from you at the final hour.
