United may not be right now, but almost certainly will be next season, or would if not for this misadventure which is going to lose them a lot of fans - myself included.

I’d still argue that they aren’t top six at the present and that’s what this league is going off.

I think everyone knows that all the protests are for show.

I 100% agree, it’s creating something where all of the money stays in their own hands. But that being said since it’s only European Competition it’s not like the money feeds down to grass roots anyway.

They could make the tickets cheap if they wanted to and that would be one way of getting fans on board, make it £20 a ticket and the Support will suddenly go through the roof.

Thing is this won’t happen and we all know it. The prices of tickets have sky rocketed in recent years. Don’t get me wrong, I know there’s way more money in football now but some season ticket prices are crazy, even in the lower leagues so I’m not just bashing the top.

Football, especially the male game, has been destroyed by greed and the demand for instant success for years.

Don’t be fooled by FIFA, UEFA et al in their public condemnation of the proposal they will be working out how to the biggest share of the money for themselves

Absolutely, have an annual conference I usually attend for work that’s in Madrid and always coincides with a round of Copa Del Rey. Went a few years ago to Athletico Madrid game and it was 18 euro with the booking fee on the half way line 2nd row from pitchside

First European super league manager to lose their job then

That’s the value of the team though not the club ranking.

Neither Scottish club could match them being in the Scottish league, are you are telling me that Leicester are bigger club than either Rangers or Celtic with stadia, fan base etc??

Remember the SPFL gets £25m in sponsorship and TV to split between 42 teams with the winner getting approx £3m
Meanwhile in the PL you get £100m to be relegated.
Obviously then smaller English teams will have more money to pay for players than the Scottish 2 teams but it doesn’t make them a bigger club.

Reports coming out suggesting that it’s because he refused to take the team out for training on the back of the ESL announcement. If so, then I’m on his side.

And that it’s cost Spurs £30m to sack him.

I will have a lot of respect if that is true and the reasoning behind it, as opposed to an excuse for them being woeful.

It’s given him a chance to take the high ground before being sacked anyway.

He was a dead man walking, I’m surprised they didn’t give him the Cup final and then sack him this close though.

Should never have sacked Poch if the first place.

I was in Munich a few years back and their were English Season ticket holders who lived in Luton. They reckoned it was cheaper to buy a Munich Season ticket, book with Ryan Air and a local hotel as soon as the fixtures were released than it was to be a regular Luton fan.

I don’t understand the issue. These brave teams want to be free from the yoke of imposed European oppression; unelected UEFA referees. Let’s put it to a vote!

Jurgen Klopp summing up every manager and player at one of these clubs “I don’t like it but it wouldn’t cause me to resign”

That’s what I thought too. If he wanted to show real conviction he could do something drastic. Maybe he’s hoping it’ll all fall through with the political and international pressure.

Sunderland looking likely to finish second at the worst 2 weeks ago and now we’ve lost points after taking the lead early on for the second game in a row… that’s after 3 defeats in a row.

Fed up is an understatement!
