Hi All, we have been working on a flight sim for the Sqn for some time now. We are almost complete with a full size cockpit & curved screen with 2 projector setup. Our Master computer station sits at the side of the simulator with an instructor running this whilst the troops are in the cockpit. What I would like is 2 way communications via headsets for staff and cadets to use whilst operating the equipment. This also adds another level of realisim & fun. Had a look on line but cant seem to find what im looking for…
Any ideas?

I’m not entirely clear on your set-up though - I’m assuming you have 1 PC (at least) for the flight sim and another for the instructor.
Will you have 2 people in the cockpit and are you expecting them to be on intercom?
Something like this I guess.
We have one with our wing simulator - it sounds just like being in a Vigilant or Tutor (and any other light aircraft)
I can’t find anything similar at first glance available/affordable in the UK, but I guess someone that’s savvy with electronics can throw something similar together with a hobby box and some basic components (since you don’t need the radio/tx function.)
The set up consists of one pc operated by instructor at the side. In the single seater cockpit cadets have accsess to joystick, throttle & rudders. We also have a monitor that is used for digital instruments.
I would like the cadets to be wearing a headset whilst using the simulator so that they can communicate with the instructor who will also be wearing a headset.
Im not suren if this can be set up via the pc or if we need a different piece of hardware…
Cheers
A
It sounds like you need a bit of kit like the one Jonay suggests, except with 3 or 4 headset connections.
Perhaps the instructor could have an inline PTT switch so his voice was only heard when he pressed the button.
